Old Chrysler dividends for former Chrysler shareholders should have been automatically sent to the shareholder or applied to their portfolio account if held by a broker. If dividends have not been received on former Chrysler shares, shareholders should inquire of the Bank of New York Mellon at phone number 1-800-470-7418 (from the U.S.). With the change of the corporation`s name from DaimlerChrysler to Daimler in Fall 2007, also the shares were renamed to Daimler shares. Please note that the dividends declared on DaimlerChrysler or Daimler shares will not be distributed until the Chrysler shares are converted to Daimler shares (see below for conversion procedure).
Chrysler Corporation's stock last traded on November 12, 1998 with a closing price of $47 1/16 per share. Chrysler shares were converted to 0.6235 Ordinary share of DaimlerChrysler and can still be converted to Daimler shares. Also, fractional shares after the conversion will receive a cash-in-lieu of the fractional shares at a rate of $89.50 per share. All Chrysler Corporation shareholders as of the time of the merger with Daimler-Benz were sent various forms and instructions for conversion to DaimlerChrysler shares.
