Fluctuation
Worldwide, the DaimlerChrysler Group’s annual fluctuation rate in 2006 was 10.7 percent, an increase of 3.4 percentage points. The fluctuation rate in Germany was 7.8 percent (2005: 3.9 percent); in the United States it remained steady at 12.3 percent, and in the rest of the world it was 12.6 percent (2005: 8.3 percent). These figures include human resources measures such as early retirement, voluntary severance agreements and – specifically in Germany – part-time phased early retirement contracts. The increase in the fluctuation rate compared to the previous year was primarily due to the implementation of the CORE and NMM (New Management Model) restructuring measures.
